Heartattack Grill

One of my favorite things about traveling is experiencing the food from different places. Vegas was no exception. One day we ventured into the old downtown Vegas. The covered  strip with lights, casinos and restaurants- all in old 1950's style did not disappoint. We decided to stop in at the famous "Heart Attack Grill". I didn't know at the time that it was famous, it just looked like a cool restaurant so we ventured in. I mean, any restaurant with an item on the menu called "Quadruple Bypass Burger" wins me over pretty quickly.

As we walked in, we were greeted by a nurse who asked us if we were "checking in". She then proceeded to dress us in hospital bracelets and gowns. Our waitress, also dressed as a nurse" handed us the menu and explained that if you don't finish your food, they will spank you. (I can't make this stuff up, people.)

As you will notice, the menu has candy cigarettes on it. I mean, who could possibly resist ordering such a thing?? Of course we did!!

After witnessing multiple people get spanked for not cleaning their plates, I decided to throw caution and calories to the wind and scarf down all of my single bypass burger. When the waitress brought us our receipt, we were in for another treat.

Notice anything funny on the receipt? I don't care what your political affiliation is, that's funny! :)

The single bypass burger, fries and coke totally squashed my current plan to eat better,

The food really wasn't even that great.

BUT- I was giggling the entire time! It was a really fun experience. If you are ever in old Vegas, give it a shot!
