The Longest Ride

Ta-da!! I have made an excellent start on one of my resolutions this week.  (Read 15 books this year.)

I read "The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks.

It's hard not to think Nicholas Sparks isn't just a tid bit cheesy. However, it is even harder to not love him and his books. They just always come together in the end and it's magical.

The Longest Ride is a story about three people:
1. An elderly man named Ira as he reminiscences about his long life filled with love and art with his wonderful wife, Ruth.
2. Luke, a young bull rider who lives on a ranch.
3. Sophia, a sorority girl and art history major at Wake Forest.

This seems like three people who couldn't possible be connected, however they come together and have an incredible connection. This story really shows you a deep and undying love story that has lasted for decades as well as insight on one that is just forming. I may or may not have cried 6 times. No biggie.

It's a quick and easy read and will certainly keep you reading! Great book to start the year. 1 down, 14 to go :)
